Extended Day Program 2010-11 School Year

St. Mary’s School offers a safe and secure environment for children before and after school while their parents are at work.  We provide a variety of activities to enrich their education and enjoyment.  One teacher  supervises the program.  Children enrolled at St. Mary’s School in grades PreK-8 are eligible for the program.

Hours: Monday-Friday 7:00-8:00 a.m. and 3:00-5:30 p.m.

The program operates only when school is in session and will follow the St. Mary’s School calendar.  Early dismissal from school cancels the program.  Additional hours will be provided on such days.  It is the parent’s responsibility to pick up their child(ren) NO LATER than 5:30 p.m.  The program will charge a $5.75 fee per three-minute interval for late pick-up of child(ren).  Late fees MUST be paid no later than the next program day for your child’s continued participation.  If there is a persistent problem picking up your child in a timely fashion, we suggest you find an alternative child care program.

Cost: Weekly payments must be made by Friday for the upcoming week.

• Before School (7:00-8:00 a.m.) - $2.25 per student per day
• After School (3:00-5:30 p.m.) - $5.50 per student per day

All rates are by the day, regardless of the amount of time spent in the program. Part time participation of students, illness of students, absenteeism or other after school activities will not warrant a refund or credit.

Reasons for Dismissal from Program: The Program Coordinator retains the right to exclude children for behavioral reasons.  Continued tardiness regarding pick-up of children will lead to elimination from the program.  Non-payment of fees will be cause for dismissal from the program.  If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the school office.

Additional Guidelines

• Only paying Extended Day Program students are to be in the program classrooms or play areas.  Other students who are waiting for transportation are to wait inside the building at the south entrance.
• A sign-out book will be provided in the south entry.  All students are to be signed out by the person who picks them up at the end of the session.
• Students are expected to maintain appropriate behavior within the program.  The program is an extension of the school day.
• Students will wear their school uniform of the day and may NOT change clothing.
